The Gobi-X Utility Box Carrier is a rugged and practical storage solution designed for off-road enthusiasts who value both accessibility and security. Finished with a durable black powder-coat, this steel box is mounted on a robust swing-arm, similar to a wheel or jerrycan carrier, and attaches directly to the Gobi-X rear bumper. It pivots smoothly to the side, allowing unobstructed access to your vehicle’s cargo area. The box is supported by a heavy-duty hinge system and a gas strut, making it easy to swing open. Together with the heavy-duty lock, this ensures that the entire unit stays securely in place while driving. The stainless steel lid is equipped with a high-quality rubber seal, ensuring that your gear stays clean and dry, even in the harshest conditions. For added security, the Utility Box features durable latches that are pre-fitted to accept a padlock (not included), allowing you to leave your vehicle unattended with peace of mind. The integrated Africa-style stainless steel bottle opener on the corner of the box, combined with its rugged appearance, makes it a tough and practical addition to your vehicle. All Gobi-X products are designed and manufactured by Gobi-X in-house in South Africa. The components are produced with CNC laser- and bendingmachines for superior accuracy and consistency. Only top-quality certified steel is used for the production. All Gobi-X products undergo a 6-stage pre-treatment process, the final stage includes a metal phosphate coating for rust prevention. Finally, a powder coating ensures a finish of superior quality and extended lifespan.
