Pedders Brake Conversion Kit Toyota Hilux (2015 – current)

When extending your Hilux’s capabilities with for example a canopy, a rooftoptent and an awning your braking distance will extend with it. The heavier your car get’s the more braking power you will need. And sometimes the drum bakes just won’t do it. Pedders developed this rear Brake Conversion Kit for the Hilux Revo to make sure you will always stop in time from now on.

As you might know disc brakes have a lot more power than drum brakes. And this set converts the rear drum brakes on your Toyota Hilux to Pedders TrakRyder disc brakes.

Disc brakes have higher stopping power than drum brakes. The disc brake pad has a smaller area, but more effectively in contact with the surface of the brake disc. Significantly improved feel on the brake pedal. Disc brakes are fully self-adjusting and have fewer moving parts. Disc brakes take much longer to reach overheating because they have a large surface area that is in direct contact with the air and dissipates excess heat. Disc brakes drain water much faster, while if water gets into drum brakes, it can stay there for a long time, which reduces braking efficiency. Servicing is also made easier, with just two bolts to remove the brake pads.

The kit includes everything you need to convert from rear drum brakes to Pedders TrakRyder disc brakes: two slotted ventilated brake discs, Pedders TrakRyder Geomet, a set of TrakRyder Kevlar rear pads, parking brake pads, reinforced brake hoses, a parking brake repair kit and everything you need to fastener installation. Also included is an instruction manual, and an installation video is available online.
